Mixed media works on canvas exploring the work of art as an imaginative arena. These textured artworks aim to awaken one’s imagination—not in terms of a generation of ideas, but in terms of a phenomenological shift in space. Through a balanced play with materiality and composition, these works bring about spatial tensions that aim to influence one’s sense of self and its location in the world. They revolve primarily around the (spatial and psychological) notions of inhabitation, scale, movement, and time, and are interested in the remedial potential of imagination.
